In early 2015 we had a vision to plant a church. We knew we were being called to plant in Chesapeake, VA. After looking at the demographics we realized that there were very few non-denominational contemporary churches in and near the Greenbrier area. So, we began to put a vision plan together and shared it with several networks. One particular network loved our vision and gave us a building just five minutes from Greenbrier to launch the church out of. The building was older and in need of a lot of work.
With the vision plan, and now having a building the next step was to build a launch team. We successfully did this with some amazing leaders who also had a heart to see people in the community come to Jesus. With the launch team in place the next step was to remodel the church building. We hired a contractor and the renovations were completed in February of 2017. Refresh Community Church was officially born and we held our grand opening ceremony on September 17, 2017 with 150 people in attendance.
From the beginning it has been our goal to transform our community through the love of Jesus. We do this in three simple steps.
